Balance is so hard to find, and even harder to keep. For me I never knew I was out of balance until I was so far out that I had no idea how to recover! After conscious recognition it took me more than three years to get any amount of semi-balance back into my life. What I realize now is that perhaps balance doesn’t come day-to-day or week-to-week, but perhaps month-to-month or even year-to-year.
What form of balance have you been striving to find? A balance between body and mind? Physical and emotional? Family, friends, and self? Work and playtime?
There are so many directions our mind can take us to come up with our own form of balance. Please, make sure that what you’re looking for is doable. Many of us strive for something that is out of our reach, and disappointment is always lurking in the back of our mind.
For me the most important balance is between work, family, friends, and SELF. The self part being the most important. If I can find time for myself then the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual will find it’s own balance which allows me to deal with all the outside influences in my life.
Follow your intuition, or heart, in this matter. Your brain will only confuse matters. Let go of the “have tos,” “need tos” and the “should’s” and feel. For feeling is the answer to finding balance in all things… And of course learning to say no.
